This Bible printed in 2001, represents the canon of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Armenian translations of the Bible followed the invention of the Armenian alphabet by Mesrop Mashtots around the year 405 AD. The first printed edition of the Bible in Armenian was produced from 1666 to 1668 by Voskan Yerevantsi in Amsterdam; it is sometimes called the Oskanian Bible. The biblical canon of the Armenian Apostolic Church includes 48 books in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament.
