This large devotional family Bible contains center references by Reverend Alexander Fletcher, a Scottish kirk minister who wrote devotional works and considered by some as a pioneer of preaching to children. Printed in the late 1800s, this Bible contains 41 full-page steel engravings by renowned artists such as Gustave Doré, W. Hensel, Ary Scheffer, Raphael, and Leonardo da Vinci. Owned by John and Nora McDougald, this Bible contains family records, noting their birth dates, their date of marriage, and the birth of their seven children.
