Hosted by Lutheran evangelist Theo Lehmann, this invitation advertises a week of events for the youth of Dippoldiswalde in the German Democratic Republic. The theme for the week was Jesus nur allein (Jesus alone). Churches in the German Democratic Republic did not have regular access to printing materials. To produce hundreds of invitations like this, they would have had to be handmade, often from repurposed material. To get the most use out of these limited materials, the back of the card encourages the person who receives it to bring as many people as they can and to pass the card along to others.
