The third printed edition of the King James Bible. After this Bible was published, financial problems forced Barker to sell his interest in the King’s Printing House, including his exclusive rights to print the King James Bible.

Printed by Robert Barker in 1617. Acquired by the church of Whilton, Northamptonshire.[1] Acquired by Samuel Bodding[ton], Northamptonshire.[2] Acquired by Jonathan Byrd’s Rare Books;[3] Purchased in 2010 by Green Collection, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Donated in 2017 to National Christian Foundation (later The Signatry) under the curatorial care of Museum of the Bible, Washington, DC.

Notes: [1] The Bible also formerly belonged to the church of Whilton, Northamptonshire based on notes written on the dedication page; date unknown. [2]A handwritten note on the title page states that it was a family church Bible at Northamptonshire. [3] Upon request, the dealer provided no further information.
