Lawrence Feinberg worked on the papyrus collection at Columbia University in the late 1960s. This small papyrus piece sparked a lengthy correspondence between Feinberg and two professors from Brown University, Richard Parker and William R. Schoedel, about the difficulty of the Coptic in the fragment. Schoedel’s final letter to Feinberg concluded with, “We can all hope that the other fragments which you possess contain a more normal form of Coptic.” The text is tentatively identified with Psalm 104 (LXX 103), but further research is needed.
