The New American Bible, Revised Edition (NABRE), is an update of the 1970 New American Bible (NAB). Nearly one hundred scholars worked on revisions of the NAB for 20 years prior to the publication of the NABRE. The NABRE has been given approval for personal study by Roman Catholics, though the 1970 NAB remains the approved English translation for Mass in America. The Catholic Bible contains 73 books, with 46 in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament.

Printed in 2011 by Catholic Book Publishing Corporation, Totowa, New Jersey; Purchased in 2016 by Museum of the Bible, Washington, DC
