This classic hymnal, developed by the Stamps-Baxter publishing company and arranged by Luther Presley, remained one of the top ten music books sold for many years and continues to be one of the most popular hymnals in its class. The hymns are arranged in the Southern tradition and utilize shape notes. Hymnals like this were popular for revivals and camp meetings held throughout the South.
