Cloud of Witnesses is an etching created by artist Tanja Butler for the series titled The Florence Portfolio, a suite of 20 intaglio prints commissioned by Christians in the Visual Arts (CIVA). It was a collaborative project by six American artists—Christine Anderson, Tanja Butler, Wayne Forte, Bruce Herman, Edward Knippers, and Duncan Simcoe—on the themes of sacrifice and suffering found in the Christian Bible.

It was printed by Normal Editions Workshop, Illinois State University, under the direction of Richard Finch. The handmade paper for the project was created by Meda and Veda Rives, Mirror Image Press, Virden, Illinois.

Created in 1994 by Tanja Butler;[1] Donated in 2023 to Museum of the Bible, Washington, DC.[2]

Notes: [1] Commissioned by Christians in the Visual Arts (CIVA). Created in Florence, Italy. Printed in Illinois, United States. [2] Donated by Sandra Bowden, co-founder of CIVA.
