Sacred Head: The Crowning is an etching created by American artist Bruce Herman for the series titled The Florence Portfolio, a suite of 20 intaglio prints commissioned by Christians in the Visual Arts (CIVA). It was a collaborative project by six American artists—Christine Anderson, Tanja Butler, Wayne Forte, Bruce Herman, Edward Knippers, and Duncan Simcoe—on the themes of sacrifice and suffering found in the Christian Bible.
It was printed by Normal Editions Workshop, Illinois State University, under the direction of Richard Finch. The handmade paper for the project was created by Meda and Veda Rives, Mirror Image Press, Virden, Illinois.
