John Quincy Adams composed a twenty-four-line poem that includes references to Psalm 23. This copy, handwritten and signed by Adams, includes the first eight lines of the poem: “My Shepard [sic] is the Lord on high, / His hand supplies me still; / In pastures green he makes me lie / Beside the rippling rill / He cheers my soul, relieves my woes, / His glory to display; / The paths of righteousness he shows, / And leads me on his way. [signed] John Quincy Adams”

Written before 1848 by John Quincy Adams. Sold by Signature House.[1] Acquired by 2009 by Christian Heritage Museum, Hagerstown, Maryland; Purchased in 2010 by Green Collection, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Donated in 2017 to National Christian Foundation (later The Signatry), under the curatorial care of Museum of the Bible, Washington, DC.
