This collection of essays discusses the nature and implications of Jesus’s resurrection as recorded in the Gospels. Alexander Maclaren, Charles Spurgeon, D. L. Moody, Thomas DeWitt Talmage, and Henry Liddon contributed a total of eight essays to this collection. These nineteenth-century preachers and theologians surveyed the Gospel accounts of the resurrection, examined its historical legitimacy, and expanded its theological importance. “The Living Dead,” “The Fifteenth Chapter of First Corinthians,” “The General Resurrection,” “The Resurrection Credible,” and “Christianity Without the Resurrection” are some of the essays included in this 1896 publication.

C,” an unknown owner.[1] Acquired before 2014 by Andrew Stimer, California; Purchased in 2014 by Green Collection, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Donated in 2016 to National Christian Foundation (later The Signatry), under the curatorial care of Museum of the Bible, Washington, DC.
