The New Revised Standard Version was first published in 1989 as an update to the Revised Standard Version of 1952. This update makes use of textual discoveries, like the Dead Sea Scrolls, that were not available when the RSV was published. Between the Old and New Testaments is a section containing Apocryphal works, including Judith, Sirach, Psalm 151, and other texts found in Catholic and Orthodox biblical canons. The NRSV is widely used in academic settings and has received support from Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant communities.

Printed in 2016 by Hendrickson Publishers, Peabody, Massachusetts; Purchased in 2016 by Museum of the Bible, Washington, DC.
